Camping Prices

Each spot / pitch has its own price based on what it is PRIMARILY intended for. For example, you can pitch a tent on a caravan spot on grass, but you will then pay the price for a caravan. It is cheaper to stay in a tent on a spot ONLY intended for tents. Caravans can park in motorhome spots and pay a little less, but you cannot expect to be able to set up an awning, and motorhomes can park in caravan spots but must pay a bit more. Spots with extra length and width are more expensive. Motorhomes under 7 meters pay less than those over 7 meters, as long as you choose a spot with a maximum length under 7 meters. The popular spots on "The Triangle" right by the reception and playground are more expensive than other spots.

In addition, there are large seasonal price variations – low season weekday, low season weekend, shoulder season, and high season – so it's best to check the prices per spot on this website to get a clear answer on the price.

The most expensive caravan spot during the most expensive time of year costs 650 NOK, and the cheapest tent spot during the least expensive time costs 200 NOK. Additional costs, such as electricity (+90 NOK per day) and vehicle length of 8-10 meters (+100 NOK per day), are extra.

Booking

We prefer online bookings on this site, and we recommend the map booking! This way you can easily choose your spot, make changes your booking after it has been made, and receive a 100% refund if you cancel at least 1 week before arrival. Check the spot description carefully - if your vehicle length or width is greater than the spot you've booked, you risk being turned away without a refund (though we will of course do everything we can to find you alternative spot!).

You can also contact us during our opening hours at 90026326 or send an email to post@camplyngdal.no.

On-duty Phone

If an emergency occurs outside of our opening hours, please call our on-duty phone on +4790026326.

Check-in/Check-out

Check-in:

Camping: from 12:00
Cabins/apartments: from 15:00

If the apartment/cabin/camping spot is available earlier, you can check in earlier.

Check-out:

Camping: 12:00
Cabins/apartments: 11:00

A late check-out may result in a penalty charge of an additional day, unless otherwise agreed with the reception.

Arrival

If you have booked online, you will receive a welcome email the day before arrival with a code to the gate. You are already checked in and can drive straight to your spot, though we gladly welcome you in the reception if you have any questions!

If you book online while standing outside the camping and the reception is temporarily closed, you will unfortunately have to wait about 10 minutes before you receive the welcome email with the code to the gate. If you don't want to wait, call the on-duty phone (always available) to get the code to the gate sooner.

If you book a cabin or apartment you must visit the reception to receive the key. Call the on-duty phone upon arrival if the reception is closed.

Parking and Positioning

You will receive instructions on how to position your vehicle in your particular spot in the welcome email, or ask in the reception. On almost all spots, you should park on the border with a neighboring spot and keep a 3-meter distance (due to fire regulations) from the spot on the other side. A car (that no one sleeps in) can be parked in this space, but an awning cannot be set up in the 3 meters. It is not particularly important if you park face in or face out, what IS obligatory is keeping 3m distance to the correct side.

Camp Lyngdal has a large parking lot just outside the camping along Stamsøyveien. You must park here if you are staying in the forest during the high season or if you come with more than 1 car. Most caravan and tent spots have 3 meters for a car on the spot itself, but you can park outside the camping if you want more space!

WiFi

We have free WiFi on the site. This is not intended for streaming or heavy downloads. If you are staying in the forest, we cannot guarantee coverage.

Sanitary facilities

We have 3 sanitary buildings at the camping. Building A (reception), Building B (apartments), and Building C (by the ball court). All facilities have toilets and showers. We ask you to show consideration to all campers and leave the shower and toilet clean and in a good condition.

The showers accept NOK 20 coins and give you 5 minutes of hot water.

Washing and drying clothes can be done by using NOK 10 coins (x4) in Building A and NOK 10 coins (x3) in Building C.

Coins for showers and laundry can be obtained from the reception with a card payment.

Camping Toilet and Greywater Disposal

Camping toilets can be emptied in the reception building in a room with an entrance from the road. Greywater can be emptied at a disposal station outside, just past the camping along Stamsøyveien.

Communal Kitchen

Building C and the cabin by the barbecue, next to the mini-golf, have guest kitchens. Dishwashing can be done in buildings A and C, as well as in the cabin by the barbecue.

Defibrillator

The defibrillator is hung on the wall of the reception building (Building A) between the women's and men's toilets.

Adapter

An adapter for power poles for caravans/motorhomes must be brought! It can be purchased at Biltema in Rom, 10 minutes away by car.

Electric car charging

Electric car charging is NOT permitted. Charging an electric car may result in expulsion. Directly across from the camping is the "Lade i Norge" Charging Station, Stamsøyveien 2. There is also a Tesla Supercharger station up at the shopping park in Rom.

Driving on the site

Max. 10 km/h!

There are many people on our site, and many children, so we ask you to be extra careful and considerate when driving a car/e-scooter/bicycle within the camping area.

No driving between 23:00 and 07:00.

Security

We have cameras filming all cars that enter and exit the camping. There are cameras in the reception/kiosk, the main playground, the garbage disposal area, and the activity room.

Dogs

We are a dog-friendly camping and have many four-legged residents. Dogs must be kept on a leash in the area, and we ask everyone to be diligent in cleaning up after their dog. Dogs are allowed in cabins. We also have 2 dog-friendly apartments (Apartment 1 and 2), where dogs must be kept in a cage. If you bring a dog to a cabin/apartment, you must clean up yourself AND pay for cleaning.

Alcohol

We do not sell alcohol.

Playground rules

It is the parents' responsibility to supervise children in the playgrounda. If anyone hits, spits or kicks, they will be expelled from the playground.

Trampoline rules: Max two people without shoes, max 5 minutes when there is a queue.

Trash

There is a garbage disposal area near the motorhome parking, behind Building B down towards the sea. The container is for general waste (small bags only), and we have separate bins for glass and cardboard, and plastic bags for plastic waste. Thank you for keeping the campsite clean and for recycling.
